
Titan, Sea Dogs organizations fined

BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, December 7, 2005 (QMJHL) - The Commissioner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Mr. Gilles Courteau, today imposed fines to both the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and the Saint John Sea Dogs organizations.
The Titan received a $500 fine following comments made by Head Coach Mario Durocher to the Trois-Rivières media following the November 27th game in Shawinigan, which overstep the acceptable boundaries underlined in the directives submitted by the Commissioner of the QMJHL.
The Sea Dogs also received a $500 fine for inappropriate gestures made by their Head Coach, Christian LaRue, towards referee Brad Mills following the December 3rd game in Acadie-Bathurst.
Before rendering his decisions, the Commissioner consulted all concerned parties. In accordance with the QMJHL's policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the Commissioner will not be available for further comment.
