Lewiston MAINEiacs News Release
Lewiston, ME - The Lewiston MAINEiacs lost to the St. John's Fog Devils tonight by a score of 3-2. The score does not reflect the effort by the MAINEiacs out shooting the Fog Devils 55-17. St. John's tallied all three of their goals before the MAINEiacs registered their first. Scoring the first goal of the night for St. John's was Oscar Sundh on the power play. The second goal came from Wesley Welcher, the only even-strength goal of the night. The Fog Devils scored their third goal in the second period, a power play goal by Luke Gallant which proved to be the game winner.
The MAINEiacs did not give up with out a fight, scoring two goals in the third. The first goal was a power play goal by Marc-Andre Cliché with assists given to Eric Castonguay and Mathieu Aubin. Castonguay and Aubin once again contributed to the final score with Castonguay lighting the lamp and assists by Aubin and Chad Denny.
