All-Star Summer Promotional Schedule Announced

(Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks today announced the team's preliminary promotional schedule for the 2018 All-Star Summer, presented by Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. Fans will be treated to several exciting theme nights, giveaway items and much more in celebration of the team's 19th season on Long Island.

The schedule is highlighted by the 21st annual Atlantic League All-Star Game, which will be hosted by the Ducks for the third time (2002, 2010). The midsummer classic will take place on Wednesday, July 11, with first pitch slated for 6:35 p.m. Following the game, all fans in attendance will be treated to the most extravagant Fireworks Spectacular of the season, presented by Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. Further details regarding the All-Star Game and surrounding events will be announced during the season.

Along with the All-Star Game, there will also be a record-tying 17 Fireworks Spectaculars which will take place throughout the course of the 72-game home schedule. Saturday nights will continue to be spectacular at the ballpark, with a fireworks show lighting the sky after each Saturday home game. Special fireworks shows will also take place on Opening Weekend of the season (May 5), Heart Health Night, presented by Northwell Health (May 16), Salute to First Responders Night, presented by National Grid (August 11) and Breast Cancer Awareness Night (September 4).

All of the fun for 2018 will get started on Friday, May 4 with Opening Night at the ballpark. Prior to that night's game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive QuackerJack OYO Minifigures, a brand new giveaway item, courtesy of P.C. Richard & Son. The collectible is just one of many terrific giveaway items that fans will be able to take home during the All-Star Summer. Additional featured items include:

Several important theme nights will be returning to the promotional schedule in 2018. The always-popular "Bark in the Park" Night, presented by Long Island Veterinary Specialists, will take place on May 15. Northwell Health will present Health Night on June 25, and Anti-Bullying Night will return on July 20, presented by the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying. Additional familiar theme nights include Irish Night, presented by Shandon Court (July 17), Camp Day, featuring a special 11:05 a.m. start (July 18), Suffolk County Boy Scout Night, presented by BNB Bank (July 30), Jewish Heritage Night (August 26), Back to School Night (September 7) and Fan Appreciation Day, presented by Pepsi (September 9).

The Ducks will once again be recognizing those who help protect and serve our community and our nation every day in 2018. In addition to the nightly "Heroes of the Game" recognition program, presented by New York Community Bank and the QuackerJack Foundation, the Ducks will host Veterans Appreciation Day on Thursday, September 6.

While select games will feature a giveaway item or theme night taking place, every game will feature an exciting promotion for fans to enjoy. The weekly promotional lineup brings back many fan favorites and adds a couple of new offers for 2018. The following is this year's weekly promotional schedule:

MILITARY MONDAYS - As a thank you to the men and women of the armed forces who risk their lives to keep us safe, active military members (with valid military ID) will receive a special $7 ticket offer when purchasing Monday game tickets at the box office (subject to availability).

TWO-FER TUESDAYS - Fans purchasing tickets to any Tuesday home game online at LIDucks.com or via the Ducks mobile app can receive a special buy one, get one free offer by entering the promo code "BOGO" at checkout (max four total tickets per transaction).

WADDLE IN WEDNESDAYS - During each Wednesday home game, a special item in the Waddle In Shop will be available at a 20% discount all game long! The selected item will change throughout the year and will be announced on LIDucks.com the morning of each Wednesday home game and at the ballpark during the game.

THIRSTY THURSDAYS - The Duck Club Restaurant/Bar, normally reserved for VIP/Season Ticket Holders only, will be open to all fans at Thursday home games! The bar will feature drink specials, including half price domestics, while the restaurant will offer special menu selections.

BOWLERO FRIDAYS AND RED ROBIN K-MAN - Fridays are full of new savings! Ducks staff members will be handing out coupons for a special offer, courtesy of Bowlero, as fans exit the ballpark following every Friday home game. In addition, during the first half of the season, the Ducks will designate a player from the opposing team as that night's K-Man. If that player strikes out during the game, one lucky section in the ballpark will take home an awesome offer from Red Robin.

SPECTACULAR SATURDAYS - The most popular promotion of the year is featured every Saturday night! Enjoy the best Fireworks Spectacular on Long Island from the comfort of your seats following the game's final out. After the show, be sure to grab your coupon for a spectacular offer from Dick's Sporting Goods as you exit the ballpark.

SUNDAY FAMILY FUNDAYS - Prior to every Sunday home game, all fans will be invited onto the field for an autograph session with Ducks players and coaches. After the game, kids (and kids at heart) can be like their favorite Ducks player during Kids Run the Bases, presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.

The full 2018 promotional schedule can be viewed following the release. Fans can also view the schedule in the second edition of the team's pocket schedules, which will be available during Opening Night of Ticket Sales this Friday, March 23.

Fans wishing to secure the best seats available for each of these promotional nights are encouraged to arrive early for Friday night's event. All the festivities will get underway at 5:00 p.m., with individual game tickets going on sale for the first time at 6:00. Several new and exciting events are taking place during this inaugural evening event, which will take place inside the Duck Club restaurant and bar, including:

-Live NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 games featured on restaurant televisions

-Showing of the popular film, Moana, on the DuckVision video board (weather permitting)

-Q&A/Autograph Session with Ducks players and coaches in attendance

-Virtual reality gaming with Microsoft HTC VIVE console on the ballpark concourse

-Fan photo opportunity with the team's Atlantic League Championship trophies and Ferry Cup

The ballpark will be the one and only place for fans to get their individual game tickets on March 23. The box office will be open as well on Saturday, March 24 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Fans can then purchase remaining individual game tickets by phone at (631) 940-TIXX or online at LIDucks.com by clicking the tickets icon starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
