The Wichita Wingnuts have announced their schedule of events for the University of Phoenix - Wichita Campus 2010 American Association All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 27th at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Three skills competitions take place prior to the game, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Teams of four take part in a relay throw race in the outfield. The four all-star catchers then compete in a throwing accuracy contest from behind home plate. The best power hitters in the league wrap up the pre-game events with a home run derby. Awards will be handed out to the winners of all three contests. Players not participating in the skills competitions will be available for autographs.

First pitch between the North and South Division All-Stars is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Wingnuts feature three players on the North roster, including catcher Jeff Christy and pitchers Nick Singleton and Justin Dowdy. Wingnuts' manager Kevin Hooper will be a part of the North Division's coaching staff. Wingnuts' shortstop Josh Horn was also voted to the team, but has been replaced on the roster due to an injury suffered on Sunday at Sioux Falls.

The all-star banquet and opening night ceremonies take place on Monday, July 26th at the Old Cowtown Museum at 5:00 p.m. This event is open to the media.

The game will be broadcast live on Kansas 22 with KSN Sports Director Jim Kobbe providing the play-by-play. Shane Dennis, Director of Baseball Operations for Wichita State University serves as color commentator while KSN News Anchor Mark Davidson will be on hand as a sideline reporter.
