
All-Star Centerfielder Returns for Third Season

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Kansas City T-Bones and manager Andy McCauley have announced that two-time All-Star Aharon Eggleston has been signed to a 2009 contract.
Eggleston, 27, returns for his third season in Kansas City. Since joining the T-Bones in 2007, he has hit .327 with 47 doubles, eight triples, seven home runs and 124 RBI. Eggleston played in all 96 games for the T-Bones last season and set new career highs in every major offensive category. His six home runs last season doubled his previous career total.
"We are very excited to have Aharon back," said McCauley. "He is a great centerfielder and was a key component in our run to the championship. Aharon is coming off a solid season of winter ball in Columbia and we look for him to leadoff for us again this season."
Eggleston made his second straight All-Star Game in 2008 and finished the season first in hits (126) and second in runs (76) and stolen bases (36). He tied a franchise record for games played and posted the highest stolen base total for a T-Bones player since their move to Kansas City in 2003.
PRIME CUTS: The T-Bones Hot Stove Trophy Tour has its first stop this Wednesday, February 25, at Danny's Bar & Grill at 10940 Parallel Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas. The stop will run from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and will offer fans the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Northern League Championship Trophy...The T-Bones have also signed INF/OF Ryan Fox to a contract for the 2009 season. Fox has spent the last two seasons in the United League after starting his career in the Colorado Rockies system.
