MILWAUKEE (Thursday, April 28, 2005) – The Milwaukee Wave and the Major Indoor Soccer League announced today the winners of the All-MISL Team honors. Forward Greg Howes was the only player in the MISL to be unanimously named to the first team. Goalkeeper Nick Vorberg and defender Chris Morman were named to the second team. Other MISL Regular Season Awards will be released at a later date.

Earlier this week, Greg Howes also received the Spalding Scoring Champion Award for the second consecutive season. In his fifth indoor season, Howes led the league with 73 points, 41 goals and 32 assists collected in 36 games played. This honor marks his third career All-MISL selection. The 2004-05 campaign gave way to a personal best night against Kansas City on February 25 when he scored five goals (including the game-winner) and three assists. Following that performance the very next night, he collected a hat trick and an assist, and continued this momentum throughout the remainder of the season.

Goalkeeper Nick Vorberg earns his first All-MISL honor as a second team selection. Posting impressive numbers in his second season with the Wave, Vorberg led the league this season in goals against average (3.96), save percentage (.762) and wins (22). Shortly after the season started, he became the primary keeper for the Wave, making appearances between the posts in 32 games. Vorberg also made history this year during the final game of the regular season on April 24 when he tallied an assist and a goal (thrown into the open net versus the sixth attacker) in the win versus Baltimore to clinch the 2004-05 Regular Season title.

Also named to the All-MISL second team is defender Chris Morman. Morman also earned his first All-MISL honor by recording 29 points (5th on team) and leading the Wave with 52 blocks in 32 appearances this season. Morman has been a strong leader for the man-down team which killed an opponents' power play a league-leading 65 percent of the time. His career totals increased this year on March 20 versus St. Louis when he recorded his 100th Wave career block, and again on April 8 versus Philadelphia when he registered his 300th overall career block.

The No. 1 Milwaukee Wave travels to St. Louis to take on the No. 4 Steamers at the Savvis Center for game one of the semifinals on Friday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. The second game is home at the U.S. Cellular Arena on May 1 at 1 p.m. If the teams split the semifinals series, a "golden goal" overtime period will determine the winner who then advances to the 2005 MISL Championship Series Finals.
