Alejandro Moreno Called up to Venezuelan National Team

HOUSTON, TX (Thursday, October 5, 2006) - For the second time in two weeks, Houston Dynamo Forward Alejandro Moreno has been called up to participate in a friendly game against Uruguay on Wednesday, October 18, as announced by the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF).

This will be the second-straight friendly Moreno participates in with his National Team, which is looking to have all its pieces in place for the upcoming Copa América 2007, which Venezuela will host. The U.S. Men's National Team was invited on Tuesday to participate in this tournament.

Moreno will play with the Dynamo in its final game of the season against the Colorado Rapids, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, at Robertson Stadium. He will leave for Venezuela shortly thereafter. Moreno is expected to be back in Houston by Friday, October 20.
