The Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), today announce that the team has agreed to a one-year deal with forward Tanner Buck, pending league approval.
Buck was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NLL Entry Draft by the Georgia Swarm. Though he only played two games with Georgia, the young forward managed to score two goals and two assists. He is coming off an impressive summer in the Major Series Lacrosse Senior A League with the Cobourg Kodiaks. He finished third in scoring with 62 total points on 25 goals and 37 assists, just five points shy of former University at Albany standout Lyle Thompson. Buck brings years of box lacrosse experience with him to the Capital Region, having also played in the Arena Lacrosse League and Ontario Jr. A League.
"Tanner is a young offensive talent that had a breakout summer," said Glenn Clark, Head Coach of the FireWolves. "He is excited to get the opportunity with Albany to grow his game at the NLL level."
