- TODAY'S STORYLINES
Three Lines Of Interest: For the second straight season the Albany Devils have the best home points percentage in the league with an .889 mark thanks to an 8-1-0-0 record. They put their five-game home winning streak on the line Friday when they host the Utica Comets for a 7 pm affair at Times Union Center. Since their first meeting during the 2013-14 season, Albany has gone 13-0-2-0 against Utica. Friday's game is also a rematch of the 2016 North Division Quarterfinals. The Devils won that series 3-1.
- The Devils have been dominant on home ice during the last four seasons. Since 2013-14, Albany has posted a 79-29-8-7 record for a .703 points percentage. This season, the Devils are outscoring opponents 32-21 at Times Union Center.
- Being utilized in all situations, Ben Sexton is fourth on the team with 11 points, including four goals and seven helpers. The first-year Devil, is on a three-game point streak, producing two goals and two assists.
- Blake Coleman, who had his 2015-16 season cut short after 14 games with a shoulder injury, leads the Devils with three game-winning goals this season. The 25-year-old has registered seven points with four goals and three assists in 17 contests this season, which is still considered his rookie year.
