Albany, NY, July 7, 2004 â The Albany Conquest announced today that they will be giving away four pairs of tickets to the SIRIUS at The Glen, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International during their final regular season home game at 7 p.m. on July 23 against the Manchester Wolves at Pepsi Arena, which will feature a full length post-game concert by Montgomery Gentry, the No. 1 country music duo in the nation. The Upstate GMC Dealers Pre-Game Tailgate Party on Pearl Street will begin at 5 p.m.
"The Conquest are excited to be giving away tickets to the August 12-15th SIRIUS at The Glen NASCAR Nextel Cup Race weekend," stated Conquest GM Robert Zeig. "Conquest fans are the big winners in all of this. Fans receive hard-hitting arenafootball2 action, a post-game concert by Montgomery Gentry, and a chance to win free tickets to what will be a hotly contested NASCAR race that will have impact on the outcome of The Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Championship."
Beginning at 5 p.m. on July 23 at the pre-game tailgate party on Pearl Street, fans are encouraged to stop by to pick up season information and catch a glimpse of the 2004 Official Dodge Pace Truck at Watkins Glen that will pace NASCAR's stars like Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The Conquest also announced that a link will be added from their website www.albanyconquest.com to Watkins Glen International's website, which will have additional information regarding the SIRIUS at The Glen. Conquest fans can checkout the 2004 racing schedule directly through Watkins Glen International's official website, www.theglen.com. The NEXTEL Cup Series takes center stage on Sunday, August 15 in the much-anticipated SIRIUS at The Glen. Support races include the Mohegan Sun 150 presented by Pepsi NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series on Saturday and the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series' theglen.com 200 on Friday night.
