
Women's Pro Football to Scrimmage at Fire Game

This Saturday night's Louisville Fire game will feature an exhibition game between the Kentucky Karma and the Cincinnati Sizzle of the National Women's Football Association. The two teams will play before the game and at half-time.
The Sizzle is coached by former Cincinnati Bengals running back Ickey Woods and will join the NWFA with the Karma in 2005. The two teams scrimmaged on June 26 in Cincinnati with the Sizzle coming out on top 21-6.
In addition to the scrimmage the NWFA will have a booth set-up on the game promoting their championship game which will take place at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on July 31 at 7:00 p.m. The NWFA is in there fourth season of play and features 37 teams from all across the country.
The Fire will take on the Columbus Wardogs this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Louisville Fire hat courtesy of Wolford Printing. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling (502)368-0009 or visiting Ticketmaster.com.
