
Alaska's Stefanishion Suspended One Game, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Alaska right
wing Matt Stefanishion for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount as
a result of his actions in Kelly Cup Playoffs Game #L-3 at Victoria on Apr.
29.
Stefanishion was assessed a major penalty and a Game Misconduct under Rule 61.5 Slashing at 9:31 of the third period.
He is suspended and fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Stefanishion will miss Alaska's game at Victoria (May 1).
