THE REST ON THE QUEST
The Stockton Thunder won their second game at home in their series against Las Vegas and lead the Wranglers 2-1 in their best-of-seven game series. Both Cincinnati and Alaska have a chance to sweep their respective series tonight in Elmira and Victoria respectively. No team in ECHL playoff history has ever come back after trailing 3-0 in a best-of-seven game series. For all the up to date information regarding the Kelly Cup Playoffs, click here for the ECHL web site.
BLAST FROM THE PAST
Although no team has ever come back from being down 3-0 in a series, the situation that faces Elmira and Victoria, three teams have come back from being down 3-1 in a series to win it. In 1999, the Mississippi Sea Wolves came back to beat Richmond in the Kelly Cup finals. In 2006, the Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Idaho Steelheads after going down 3-1 in the Division Semifinals. And in 2007, the Dayton Bombers knocked off the Cincinnati Cyclones after trailing 3-1 in the North Division Finals.
