San Antonio netted four third-period goals to defeat Providence, 4-1... Three-time AHL All-Star Martin St. Pierre scored twice as Rockford edged Peoria, 3-2.

LOOKING AHEAD: Houston takes its five-game winning streak into an inter-conference battle with Hartford on Friday at the Toyota Center... All five wins have come against opponents from outside the West Division; the Aeros are 15-5-1-1 on the season in such games... Barry Brust is 5-0-0 (1.35, .954, 2 SO) in those five games... Adrian Foster paces a well-balanced Houston offense with 34 points (14-20-34), and his 14 goals are tied with Peter Olvecky for the team lead... 2008 AHL All-Star defenseman Erik Reitz tallied a game-high theee points (2-1-3) in the Aeros' 6-1 victory at Hartford on Dec. 12... After falling to Manchester and Portland last weekend, the Wolf Pack are out to avoid suffering three straight regulation losses for the first time all season... Andrew Hutchinson leads all AHL defensemen in assists (38) and points (53), and he has 15 points (6-9-15) in his last nine outings... Lauri Korpikoski has five goals in his last five gams for Hartford.

Two points out of a playoff spot in the East Division, Bridgeport travels north for a two-game set in Portland on Friday and Saturday... The Sound Tigers sport an 8-2-0-1 record in their last 11 contests but have lost three of four to the Pirates this season... Bridgeport's leading scorer Jeff Tambellini (29-29-58) remains on NHL recall to the N.Y. Islanders... Trevor Smith, February's Rbk Edge/AHL Rookie of the Month, has a point in 10 of his last 11 games (6-9-15)... Tim Jackman has three goals over his last three games, and Steve Regier boasts a point in four of his last five outings (2-3-5)... Goaltender Mike Morrison is 5-0-1 with a 1.29 GAA and .961 save percentage over his last six starts... Jason King has a four-game scoring streak (1-6-7) for Portland, and 2008 AHL All-Star Bobby Ryan ranks second among AHL rookies with 49 points (21-28-49) in 48 games... The Pirates are 21-8-1-1 at home this season.

Syracuse, 8-1-0-4 in its last 13 games, begins a big three-game weekend by hosting Toronto on Friday... The Crunch come in two points out of a guaranteed playoff spot in the North Division, but could start without its top two scorers as Joakim Lindstrom and Derek MacKenzie are on NHL recall to Columbus... Adam Pineault ranks third on the club with 43 points (19-24-43) in 63 games, including a franchise-record six shorthanded goals... Crunch goaltender Karl Goehring, the reigning Rbk/AHL Player of the Week, is 4-0-1 with a 0.97 GAA in his last five starts... Toronto rookie Michel Leveille has four points (3-1-4) in his last two games... Former Crunch forward David Ling has five goals and eight points in four games against Syracuse this season.
