LOOKING AHEAD:
Philadelphia goes its 15th straight win when Providence visits the Wachovia Spectrum on Wednesday night... The Bruins nearly ended the Phantoms' streak on Sunday, but Patrick Sharp scored with 1:20 left in regulation and Jon Sim netted his second straight overtime winner 74 seconds into the extra period, as Philly took a 4-3 victory... Rookie R.J. Umberger has scored six goals in the Phantoms' last eight games... Patrice Bergeron and Andy Hilbert have combined for 17 points in Providence's last three games... Philadelphia is 13-3-1 all-time against the P-Bruins.
Upstate from Philadelphia, Hartford meets Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday night for the first time since the Penguins advanced to the Calder Cup 2004 Final with a Game 7 overtime win on May 29... Including playoffs, the Wolf Pack are 5-1-1 all-time at the Wachovia Arena, but they enter a busy week with just one win in six games since Nov. 10... The Penguins have earned a point in 11 straight games (6-0-3-2), and are led offensively by Shane Endicott and Michel Ouellet with 11 and 10 goals, respectively... Marc-Andre Fleury owns a 1.72 GAA in four home starts for Wilkes-Barre this season... Dominic Moore leads Hartford in assists (10), points (12) and plus/minus rating (+7).
The top two teams in the Western Conference play the first of a two-game set at Rexall Place on Wednesday, when Edmonton hosts Milwaukee... The Admirals have just one regulation loss this season (11-1-1-1), while the Road Runners are atop the North Division at 11-3-2-2 (heading into Tuesday's game against St. John's)... Two-time Calder Cup finalist Raffi Torres has five goals and seven points in his first seven games since joining Edmonton earlier this month... Scottie Upshall had seven points and a plus-8 rating as Milwaukee put up 22 goals in three games last week.
