AHL Experience Main Focus as Falcons Open Training Camp

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today they have invited AHL veterans Chris Armstrong (Defense),
Nathan Barrett (Forward), Bryan Lundbohm (Forward) and Adam Henrich (Forward) to participate in their 2009 training camp, which opens with players reporting to
Springfield on Saturday, September 19.
"We are expecting a very competitive camp and we will have a number of players that possess valuable AHL experience competing for roster spots,"
said Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon. "Edmonton has done a very good job this off-season of making sure we will have a strong veteran presence on our roster this
season and we are excited to start a very competitive camp in a couple of weeks."
Henrich started his pro career with the Falcons during the 2004-05 campaign totaling 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points and 97 penalty minutes in 63 games. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound native
of Thornhill, Ontario has played in a total of 182 career AHL games collecting 30 goals and 50 assists for 80 points. Henrich has seen time with the Falcons, Norfolk Admirals and
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins during his AHL career. He was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the second round (60th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
Armstrong is entering his 16th professional season and has played in 437 AHL contests totaling 58 goals and 211 assists for 269 career points. The Regina, Saskatchewan native has led his respective
AHL team in scoring among defensemen three times in his AHL career, while ranking second in that same category three times. Armstrong was originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in the
third round (57th overall) in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft and has played for the Carolina Monarchs, Hershey Bears, Kentucky Thoroughblades, Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Cincinnati Mighty Ducks
during his AHL career.
Barrett enters the 2009-10 season having played in a total of 257 career AHL games collecting 73 goals and 96 assists for 169 points. Barrett led the Norfolk Admirals in goals during the 2005-06
campaign when he registered an AHL career best 30 goals and 31 assists for 61 points in 78 games.
Lundbohm is entering his ninth season of pro hockey and is a veteran of 442 career AHL games picking up 56 goals and 109 assists for 165 points. Lundbohm has played for the Milwaukee Admirals,
Grand Rapids Griffins and Houston Aeros during his AHL career.
