29 Players to Take Part in Candiens Rookie Camp

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that 29 players will participate in the team's rookie camp from September 7-11, at the Bell Sports Complex, in Brossard, Quebec.

From Monday, September 7th to Thursday, September 10th, players will take to the ice twice a day using both surfaces of the Bell Sports Complex; practice sessions divided by groups in the morning (8:15 to 11:15 a.m.) and a full practice session from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. An intersquad game is scheduled for Friday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m. Off-ice conditioning sessions will also take place every day.

Of the 29 players, 13 played for the Bulldogs last season (Chad Anderson, Mathieu Carle, Andrew Conboy, David Desharnais, Cedrick Desjardins, Ben Maxwell, Max Pacioretty, Ryan Russell, Frederic St. Denis, Brock Trotter, Yannick Weber, Ryan White, J.T. Wyman), three players have contracts with the ‘Dogs (Chad Anderson, Eric Neilson, Frederic St. Denis) and Andre Benoit won the 2007 Calder Cup with Hamilton. A full roster of the participants at the Canadiens rookie camp is attached.

All regular season radio and online broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the game's scheduled start time. Ellery Award-winning broadcaster Derek Wills will call the play-by-play of all 80 regular season games, while Al Craig will provide the colour commentary for all home games and select road games.
