AHL Announces Alignment, Schedule Breakdown

Albany Devils News Release


LOWELL, Mass. - The American Hockey League released the schedule format and divisional alignment for the 2007-08 season. The league will feature 29 teams, including new affiliates in Rockford, Ill., Quad City (Moline, Ill.) and Lake Erie (Cleveland), all of which will play in the Western Conference.

The Devils will remain in the Atlantic Division along with Hartford, Manchester, Portland, Providence, Springfield and Worcester. Lowell will face off against each division opponent 10 times - five at home and five on the road - except for the Hartford Wolf Pack, whom they will play eight times (4/4).

The Devils will also play East Division opponents a total of 22 times: Albany four times (2/2), Bridgeport (3/3), Hershey (1/1), Norfolk (2/2), Philadelphia (2/! 2) and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (1/1). The Devils and Penguins did not meet in 2006-07.
