FORT MILL, S.C. - April 24, 2007 - Knights 3B Josh Fields knows how to make kids happy. Before a crowd of 6,154-mostly students from area schools enjoying a day out of the classroom-Fields hit a walk-off, two-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to help Charlotte defeat Toledo 4-2 sending the kids into a frenzy. It was the second home of the season for Fields, whose RBI double in the 8th sent the game into extra innings. He finished the game 2-5, with a home run and 3 RBI.
Paulino Reynoso (2-0, 0.00) picked up the win for the Knights coming out of the bullpen. Starter Lance Broadway went 6 innings, giving up 5 hits, one earned run and 4 strikeouts. Jason Karnuth (0-1, 2.57) was on the losing end for the Mud Hens.
The Knights and Mud Hens will conclude their three-game series on Wednesday. RHP Gavin Floyd (1-1, 2.50) gets the start for the Knights, while RHP Zach Miner (0-2, 10.69) will start for the Mud Hens. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
