AFL Youth Football Month Set for May 2007

Throughout the month of May, all 19 AFL and 30 af2 teams will be promoting and supporting youth football. Every team will hold Youth Football Nights to increase awareness and drive local youth football program registrations. The Las Vegas Gladiators Youth Sports Night will be held during this Sunday's May 6th game against the Los Angeles Avengers.
The Gladiators will be working with National Youth Sports Little League and Desert Football League to help promote awareness of youth football. The theme of the game is "Youth Sports Night" to celebrate not only football programs, but the importance of staying and being active through many sports outlets.
Both groups featured for Sunday's game will be celebrated, through special PA announcements, jumbotron exposure and photo opportunities with the Gladiators after the game.
The All-Stars from the Desert Football League will also be have a 30minute scrimmage after the autograph session that fans will be encouraged to stay and support. These kids who have never played on an Arena Field will get the first hand experience of what the Arena Football League is about.
With support from Alliante Homes, Gladiators Head Coach Danton Barto, his staff and players will be hosting a youth football camp, Saturday May 5 along with the Gladiators dance team, the Goddesses, who will also be having a dance camp during that time. The Gladiators are hoping to spread their strengths and knowledge of football and dance to the youth in the Las Vegas community.
