Just one week remains in the 2013 Arena Football League regular season, and each of the four playoff seeds in the American Conference have yet to be determined. Entering this week's action, the playoff seeding breaks down as follows:
No. 1 Philadelphia Soul (12-5) No. 2 Jacksonville Sharks (11-6) No. 3 Tampa Bay Storm (7-10) No. 4 Orlando Predators (6-11) (out) New Orleans VooDoo (5-12)
Three of Saturday's games will have an impact on the final playoff seeding in the American Conference, as the Sharks host the Storm (7:00 p.m.), the Predators host the VooDoo (7:00 p.m.), and the Soul travel to face the San Antonio Talons (9:00 p.m. on CBS Sports Network). In general, the scenarios for each team unfold as follows:
Philadelphia clinches the No. 1 seed with a win Jacksonville clinches the No. 1 seed with a win AND a Philadelphia loss. If Philadelphia wins, the Sharks will be the No. 2 seed regardless of the outcome of their game against Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay clinches the No. 3 seed with a win OR an Orlando loss
Orlando clinches the No. 3 seed with a win AND a Tampa Bay loss, based on tiebreaker advantage (conference record)
Orlando clinches the No. 4 seed with a win AND a Tampa Bay win
New Orleans clinches the No. 4 seed with a win, based on tiebreaker advantage (head-to-head record)

If Philadelphia, Jacksonville, and New Orleans win No. 1 Philadelphia Soul vs. No. 4 New Orleans VooDoo No. 2 Jacksonville Sharks vs. No. 3 Tampa Bay Storm
If Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, and Orlando win No. 1 Philadelphia Soul vs. No. 4 Orlando Predators No. 2 Jacksonville Sharks vs. No. 3 Tampa Bay Storm
If Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, and New Orleans win No. 1 Philadelphia Soul vs. No. 4 New Orleans VooDoo No. 2 Jacksonville Sharks vs. No. 3 Tampa Bay Storm
