Aeros, KNTH partner to air remaining games

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros and News Talk Houston 1070 KNTH-AM are proud to announce a partnership to broadcast the majority of the team's 2004-05 games. The Aeros were on the air this past Friday when they took on Manitoba. Ken Double, the "Voice of the Aeros", will call the action this Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. when the Aeros play the Edmonton Road Runners at Toyota Center. Games will continue to be broadcast on the Internet as well.

"The Aeros are extremely pleased to partner with News Talk Houston 1070 KNTH," said Aeros president Tom Garrity. "It has one of the strongest AM signals in Houston, which will be of great benefit to our fans in The Woodlands, Katy, Sugar Land and other outlying areas of Harris and surrounding counties."

"We're so excited about our new News Talk station KNTH," said KNTH/KKHT general manager Chuck Jewell. "The fact that in just a month or two we can add a great franchise like the Houston Aeros is a huge asset to our station."

Thirty-eight of the remaining 44 games will be broadcast on KNTH-AM. The following games will be Internet only: Sunday, Jan. 23; Tuesday, Feb. 8; Monday, Feb. 21; Sunday, March 27; Sunday, April 10 and Sunday, April 17.

The following games will be joined in progress beginning at 7 p.m. (ct): Wednesday, Feb. 9; Friday, Feb. 25; Friday, April 8.

News Talk 1070 KNTH-AM is a part of Salem Communications Corporation, the leading radio broadcaster focused on Christian and family themes programming. The station offers a strong line-up of syndicated talk show hosts including Bill Bennett (5-8 AM), Mike Gallagher (8-11AM), Dennis Prager (11AM-1PM), Dave Ramsey (1-3PM), Michael Medved (3-5PM), and Hugh Hewitt (5-8PM). In addition, listeners get local news, weather and traffic throughout the day.
