SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that former Los Angeles Kings greats Larry Robinson, Marcel Dionne and Dave Taylor will be honored at the 2005 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic, to be held February 13-14 in Manchester, N.H.
A 1995 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Robinson began his professional career with the AHL's Nova Scotia Voyageurs in 1971-72 and helped lead them to a Calder Cup championship. After recording 16 goals and 47 assists in 112 AHL games, Robinson went on to play 20 seasons in the NHL, winning six Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens and capturing the Norris Trophy twice as the league's best defenseman. After three seasons with Los Angeles, the 10-time NHL All-Star retired in 1992 with 958 points in 1,384 career NHL games. Robinson won another Stanley Cup as an assistant with New Jersey in 1995, then went back to Los Angeles and spent four years (1995-99) as head coach with the Kings. He returned to the Devils as head coach and won his eighth Stanley Cup in 2000. Robinson is currently a special assignment coach for New Jersey.

Past honorees include Billy Smith, Grant Fuhr, Rod Langway, Brad Park, George Armstrong, Glen Sather, Bill Torrey, Al Arbour, Bill Barber, Ken Dryden, Lorne "Gump" Worsley, Johnny Bower, Glenn Hall and Emile Francis.

Dionne ranks among the greatest scorers in NHL history, compiling 731 goals (fourth all-time) and 1,771 points (fifth) over 18 NHL seasons, including 12 years in Los Angeles. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992. Taylor has been a member of the Kings organization for the last 27 years. He spent his entire 17-year playing career with Los Angeles, recording 1,069 points in 1,111 games and helping the franchise to its only Stanley Cup Final appearance in 1993. He served as the team's assistant GM for three seasons, and has been the Kings' vice president and general manager since 1997.
