Aeros invite old friends to 10th regular season finale

Houston, TX – The Houston Aeros will honor greats of their past as they wrap up their 10th regular season Saturday, April 10 at 7 p.m. against the Grand Rapids Griffins on Fan Appreciation Night. Members of the original 1994-95 Aeros team, in addition to the 1999 Turner Cup winning squad and the 2003 Calder Cup championship team will be honored. The Aeros will also give out T-shirts to the first 5,000 fans.

Initial team owner Glen Hart, goalie Troy Gamble and defenseman Steve Jaques will represent the 1994-95 Aeros team. Several players from the Turner Cup team will attend, led by current Minnesota Wild goalie Manny Fernandez, as well as Aeros assistant coach Cam Stewart, Lane Lambert and Brian Wiseman. The Aeros will also honor the 2003 Calder Cup team as part of the special pre-game ceremony, which will feature a speech by minority owner Chuck Watson.

The Aeros play three times this weekend, including a pair of home games. Houston opens up its busy stretch Friday at 7 p.m. in San Antonio (Internet only). Saturday, the Aeros play host to the Rampage at 7 p.m. on Dan Cavanaugh Bobblehead Night. Sunday, Milwaukee invades Toyota Center for a 5 p.m. matchup. Sunday is Girl Scout/Family Day.
