
Aeros Drop Third Straight, Lose to Thunder, 4-3

AKRON, OH - Nick Hagadone allowed three runs in the top of the seventh inning as the Akron Aeros lost game two of a three-game series to the Trenton Thunder 4-3 Saturday at Canal Park.
Hagadone was charged with the loss for the Aeros pitching 1.2 innings, walking two and striking out two.
With the loss, Akron (13-16) has now dropped three straight games tying their longest skid of the year.
Craig Heyer got the win for Trenton tossing six innings, giving up three earned runs on six hits and striking five while walking just one. Fernando Hernandez pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth inning to earn the save.
The Aeros got on the board in the bottom of the second inning. With two on and one out, Kyle Bellows singled home Chun Chen to make it 1-0. Karexon Sanchez followed grounding into a fielder's choice that allowed Matt McBride to score to give Akron a 2-0 lead.
The Thunder (15-14) got a run back in the top of the fifth inning on a Ray Kruml RBI single.
Akron answered in the bottom of the frame. With two out, Jordan Henry singled and Tim Fedroff followed with an RBI double to make it 3-1.
Trenton got three runs in the top of the seventh inning on a Austin Krum RBI groundout and an Austin Romine two-RBI single as they went on to the win.
The Aeros will look to avoid the sweep at the hands of the Thunder Sunday afternoon at Canal Park. Right-handed pitcher Austin Adams will get the start for Akron. Adams is 2-2 with a 3.09 ERA this season. He will face southpaw Kei Igawa, who is 1-0 with a 0.63 ERA in 2011. First pitch is at 1:05 p.m. The game can be heard on Fox Sports 1350 AM or online at sportsradio1350.com. Coverage begins at 12:50 p.m.
It is also Sunday Family FUNday at Canal Park. Orbit's Future Stars Kids Club Members receive a free ticket to the game. The Aeros will also help support Breast Cancer Awareness by wearing special pink jerseys courtesy of Jay Vending. The Jerseys will be auctioned off throughout the game. There is also a Pink Visor Giveaway to the first 1,000 ladies in attendance.
