Akron RubberDucks News Release

AKRON, OH - The Akron Aeros are pleased to welcome five employees to new roles with the club in preparation for the 2010 season, the team announced today. Ross Swaldo, Brad Strobl, and Brett Joyce have been promoted to new positions within the organization, while Jeff Holtke and Chris Muhlberg are the newest members of the front office staff.

"Promoting from within is certainly our preferred business model, and we have full confidence that Ross, Brad, and Brett will thrive in their new roles," Aeros General Manager Jeff Auman said. "Additionally, we're very happy to have Jeff Holtke and Chris Muhlberg on our staff and we're excited about the new ideas and energy they'll bring to the table."

Swaldo, who has been with the club since 2006 as a ticket account representative, has been promoted to Director of Ticket Operations and will oversee the Ticket Sales Department. He began his career with the Erie SeaWolves in 2004 and has worked for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.

Strobl takes over as General Manager of Aerofare, the concessions wing of the Aeros. He served as the Assistant GM of Aerofare for the past two seasons and has also previously worked with the Erie SeaWolves.

Joyce has been a fixture in the Akron front office ever since May when he joined the club as an intern in the promotions department. He will spend his second season in professional baseball as an Account Representative in the Ticket Department.

Holtke joins the Aeros from down the road in Niles, where he worked for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers for two seasons. He will play a dual role as both the Director of Media Relations while also serving as Director of Video Operations and Game Entertainment. He began his career in professional baseball with the Peoria Chiefs in 2007.

Muhlberg started his professional baseball career last season, where he worked for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. Chris will serve as the Senior Account Representative for group sales in the ticketing department.

The Aeros also announced that Tom Craven, Samantha Flowers, Mark Greathouse, Bob Jankowski and Rob Sinclair have left the team. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
