
Adonis Rosa Added as 2018 FSL All-Star; Right-Hander Becomes Ninth Tarpons Player Named

Tampa, Fla. - The Florida State League announced today the addition of RHP Adonis Rosa to the 2018 FSL North Division All-Star Roster. Rosa becomes the ninth player on the Tampa Tarpons to be named a Mid-Season All-Star.
Rosa joins RHP Nick Green, LHP Trevor Lane, INF Diego Castillo and INF Brandon Wagner as players that will represent the Tarpons at All-Star Weekend on June 15th-16th at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
RHP Trevor Stephan, RHP Michael King, RHP David Sosebee and C Francisco Diaz were also originally named All-Stars, but were promoted to Double-A Trenton and have since been replaced on the roster.
In 11 outings (six starts), Rosa is 6-1 with a 3.33 ERA. The 23-year-old is currently tied for the league-lead in wins while ranking 10th in ERA. Entering his 12th game, Rosa has held opponents to one earned run over his last 15.1 innings pitched. A native of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, Rosa was signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2013.
The 57th FSL All-Star Game will be hosted by the Tarpons at George M. Steinbrenner Field on Saturday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m. FSL All-Star Weekend will kick-off with the Home Run Derby on Friday, June 15th, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for both the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game are currently available on www.TarponsBaseball.com.
