HAWKS WATCH
Passmore and More: Among their most recent transactions, the Chicago Blackhawks have re-signed goaltender Steve Passmore. Passmore appeared in 28 games for the Hawks last season, posting a record of 8-5-4 with a 2.27 goals against average and a .904 save percentage.
Chicago has also re-signed veterans Steve Thomas and Bob Probert. Thomas skated in 34 contests last year, recording 11+4=15 points and 17 penalty minutes. Probert led the squad with 176 PIM in 2001-02, while posting 1+3=4 points in 61 games. Additionally, the Blackhawks re-signed Goaltending Consultant Vladislav Tretiak to a new contract.
The Hawks acquired left wing Sergei Berezin from the Montreal Canadiens on June 30 in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Berezin split time between Montreal and the Phoenix Coyotes last season, netting 26 points (11+15) and eight PIM in 70 appearances.
The Blackhawks' Prospects Camp wrapped up on July 6 in Chicago. Among the invitees were (year drafted in parentheses):

IN THE COMMUNITY
Military Recognition Reception: July 11 at the Radisson hotel in downtown Norfolk. Admirals staff members will attend this Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce reception.
Mascot Mania with the Norfolk Tides: July 15 at Harbor Park. Hat Trick and Salty will be among the mascots appearing at that evening's game beginning at 7:15 p.m.
Chamber After Hours: July 18 at BB&T, 539 West 21st Street in Norfolk. Staff members will be at this Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
3rd Annual Battleship Wisconsin Golf Outing: July 19 at Sewells Point Golf Course in Norfolk. The Admirals will once again be participating in this tournament as well as making donations to the auction to support the USS Wisconsin Foundation.
Edmarc Skate: July 20 at IceSports Chesapeake. Mascot Salty will again visit this special event for the Edmarc Hospice for Children taking place from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
49th Annual Portsmouth's Seafood Outing: July 31 at the TCC Portsmouth Campus. The Admirals will have an exhibit table with season ticket information at this Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce event from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
SEASON TICKETS
Important Dates to Remember: Anyone who purchased a 10- or 20-Game Ticket Package this past season has until Friday, August 23 to renew those same seats for 2002-2003 by placing a $50 deposit per seat before they are made available to the general public for sale.
Season Ticket accounts must be paid in full no later than Friday, August 30.
Partial Ticket Packages must be paid in full no later than Monday, September 16.
