Admirals to face Hershey in finals

Milwaukee, WI-The American Hockey League announced today the dates and times for the best-of-seven 2006 Calder Cup Finals between the Milwaukee Admirals and the Hershey Bears.
Based on their higher point total during the regular season, the Admirals have the home-ice advantage in the series. Games one and two will take place at the Bradley Center on Friday, June 2nd and Saturday, June 3rd. Both contests will be at 7:00 pm. The series will then take a week off before heading to Hershey for games three (Saturday, June 10th), four (Sunday, June 11th), and, if necessary, five (Tuesday, June 12th). Potential games six and seven would be back at the BC on Thursday, June 15th and Saturday, June 17th at 7:00 pm.

The Admirals have never faced the Bears in post-season play and have played them just two times during regular season play since the Ads joined the AHL back in 2001-02.
Milwaukee qualified for their second Calder Cup Finals appearance in three years with a sweep of the Grand Rapids Griffins in the conference finals. The Admirals have now won nine straight playoff contests, starting with game seven in the first round versus the Iowa Stars and continuing with sweeps of the Houston Aeros and the Griffins.
Hershey punched their ticket to the finals with a 5-4 game seven victory over the Portland Pirates tonight in Hershey. The Bears had a pair of sweeps in the first two rounds, knocking out the Norfolk Admirals in the West Division Semis, before downing the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins in the East Division Finals.
Tickets for games 1 and 2 of the Finals are now on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets, at the Bradley Center Box Office, or at the Admirals office. Fans can also purchase tickets by calling Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of 10 or more people receive a discount of at least $2 on each ticket.
