
Admirals Release Defenseman Sacha Guimond

NORFOLK - The Norfolk Admirals have released defenseman Sacha Guimond from his Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).
Guimond, 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, has appeared in four games with the Admirals, posting a plus-1 rating with three shots. He has appeared in six AHL games this season between the Admirals and Worcester Sharks, going scoreless.
The 21-year-old native of Ville-Marie, Qu�bec, ranks second among all ECHL defensemen in scoring and also ranks tenth among all ECHL rookies in scoring. He has appeared in 43 ECHL games during his first professional season, posting eight goals and 35 points between the San Francisco Bulls and Gwinnett Gladiators. Guimond was acquired by the Gladiators on Jan. 14th.
An undrafted defenseman, Guimond appeared in 99 career junior games between the OHL's London Knights and the QMJHL's Baie-Comeau Drakkar, scoring 10 goals and 47 points in two seasons.
The Admirals return to Norfolk Scope Arena on Friday and Saturday against the Providence Bruins. Friday is Hall of Fame Night as Brian Martin and Marty Wilford will be inducted into the Admirals Hall of Fame in a pre-game ceremony. Please check norfolkadmirals.com for details.
