Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-The Milwaukee Admirals play a pair of games this weekend on Friday, February 19th at 7:00 and Sunday the 21st at 4:00. The Admirals will honor the 30th anniversary of the famed "Miracle on Ice" as they will sport specialty jerseys, similar in style to those worn by the 1980 US Olympic team.
The Admirals will conduct a silent auction for the jerseys with the proceeds being donated to the Admirals Power Play Foundation. The auction takes place in the West Atrium and will span all game Friday with the auction concluding with five minutes left in the second intermission on Sunday the 21st. After the game, the winning bidders will have the opportunity to meet their player and take the jersey right off their back. There will also be a raffle for one of the specialty jerseys that is autographed by the entire team. Raffle tickets are $10 and will be sold at the jersey auction.
On Friday the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive an Admirals/Brewers baseball cap. Remember Admirals fans, this is the last chance to take advantage of the Two-Man Advantage. For only $32 you get two tickets to this Friday's game against Houston and your choice of tickets to one of two 2010 Brewers games. This great deal is available only through the Admirals' office.
In addition, the party will be going on the Chipotle Fiesta Deck. For $16 fans will receive a Chipotle Burrito Buck, good for one free Burrito at local Chipotle Restaurants, and an Admirals kazoo.
The Admirals will have a rare Saturday off this weekend. While they won't be on the ice, Admirals players will be busy meeting fans and signing autographs at the 12 area local Fast Track Oil Change Centers. Check out milwaukeeadmirals.com to find out which location your favorite player be signing.
Sunday's game against the Rockford IceHogs is the team's annual Tribute to Wrestling Day where legends from the professional wrestling world will greet fans and sign autographs. This year, Christy Hemme, Al Snow, Billy Robinson and Hacksaw Jim Duggan are scheduled to be in attendance. They will sign autographs beginning at 3:00 pm on the 200-level concourse.
Plus, the first 1,500 kids 14 and under at the game will receive a Hugh Jessiman Growth Chart, compliments of the Admirals and Children's Hospital.
