Admirals, Griffins Set For Western Conference Finals

Milwaukee, WI-The American Hockey League announced today the dates and times for the Western Conference Finals between the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Milwaukee Admirals.
By virtue of their higher point total in the regular season, the Griffins will have the home-ice advantage and thus will host games one and two of the series on Thursday, May 18th and Saturday, May 20th at 7:00 pm EDT. Games three and four would take place at the Bradley Center on Monday, May 22nd and Wednesday, May 24th at 7:00 pm CDT. Game five, if necessary, would be in Grand Rapids on Friday, May 26th, with game six back at the Bradley Center on Saturday, May 27th. A possible game seven would be at the Van Andel Arena on Monday, May 29th at 7:00 pm EST.

The Admirals advanced to the conference finals by topping the Iowa Stars four games to three in the division semi-finals, before sweeping the Houston Aeros, 4-0, in the West Division Finals. Grand Rapids took out the Toronto Marlies 4-1 in their first round and advanced to face Milwaukee by topping the Manitoba Moose four games to three to capture the North Division crown.
