
Adidas to be Official Partner of USL PRO Affiliate, Charlotte Independence

The Colorado Rapids' USL PRO affiliate club, Charlotte Independence, has this week announced an official partnership that will see adidas outfit Independence players and coaching staff, as well as supply product for the club.The deal runs through the completion of the 2016 USL PRO season.
"We're excited to officially welcome adidas to the team," said Independence Chief Revenue Officer Wade Leaphart. "Their dedication, passion and attitude - on and off the field - are qualities we admire and embrace. As a global leader, adidas' support will be key in our evolution as a team and organization. The partnership also will allow us to maximize our relationship with the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer."
Adidas will supply the Independence's home and away kits for the next two seasons and the brand will be highly visible both on and off the field. Other elements of the deal include hospitality, signage, digital and print advertising, as well as social media promotion.

"The club's affiliation with the Colorado Rapids combined with their passion to bring an authentic and professional soccer experience to the Charlotte market made a partnership appealing. Adidas is the leader in soccer and it is partnerships like these that allow us to continue to elevate and grow the game in the United States."
The Independence joined USL PRO as an expansion franchise in September 2014 and will begin play in the 2015 season.
