Lincoln, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars have hired Adam Micheletti as President, the team announced on Tuesday.

Micheletti will manage the Stars' business operations. He joins the team after serving as the USHL Senior Director of Hockey Operations and Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee.

"I'm really excited for the opportunity to work for the Lincoln Stars," Micheletti said. "They're one of the preeminent organizations in all of junior hockey and have strong ownership with Ryan Schiff."

During his three-year tenure with the league office, Micheletti was responsible for overseeing all hockey administrative duties and helping manage marketing initiatives and player development events.

"It's a great opportunity for Adam and we are excited for him," USHL President and Commissioner Bob Fallen said. "Adam has aspirations to someday become an NHL executive and this move is an appropriate step along his development path."

Micheletti also spent three years with the Dubuque Fighting Saints, winning two Clark Cups as the Director of Hockey and Business Operations.

"When the opportunity to add a person of Adam's character, background and experience came up it was simply impossible to ignore," Stars owner Ryan Schiff said. ""I believe Adam's well-rounded experience at Dubuque (one of the premier franchises in our league) and the USHL office (under both Skip Prince and Bob Fallen) puts him in the perfect position to take his career and the Lincoln Stars to the next level."

Prior to joining the Fighting Saints, Adam interned with the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League. He assisted with much of the administrative work related to player contracts, salary cap analysis and the NHL's Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Micheletti graduated from Boston College in 2007 with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management and Leadership. He resides with his wife, Rachel.

Spencer Peery will serve as the Stars' Chief Financial Officer.
