
Adam Foote Jersey Retirement March 17th

Sault Ste. Marie ON- On Saturday, March 17th the Soo Greyhounds will be retiring the #5 jersey belonging to Adam Foote. He played for the Hounds from 1988-1991, respectfully earning a spot in Soo Greyhounds history. Foote went on to a long, luxurious NHL career where he won two Stanley Cups, one Olympic gold medal and one World Cup gold medal.
The ceremony will take place prior to the Greyhounds game versus the Windsor Spitfires at the Essar Centre. All fans are asked to be in their seats by 7:20 p.m. Adam along with his wife Jennifer and sons Callan and Nolan will be in attendance. Foote's former teammates Bob Boughner, Bob Jones, David Matsos, Denny Lambert and Mark Matler will also in attendance.
The Greyhounds will be wearing #5 Adam Foote jerseys during warm-ups. Ten of these jerseys will be part of a blind auction; bidding will close during the second intermission. To make a bid please visit the marketing table behind section 117. For auction rules please visit www.soogreyhounds.com .
