
Adam Buksa Called in to Poland National Team for World Cup Qualifiers

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution forward Adam Buksa has been called into the Poland National Team for a trio of FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches. Buksa will join Poland for its upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Albania at home on Sept. 2, San Marino away on Sept. 5, and England at home on Sept. 8. UEFA qualifying action is available in the United States on ESPN+.
Buksa, 25, earns his second call up to the Poland National Team and first since November 2018 as he seeks his first senior cap. The Kraków, Poland native was part of Poland's squad for an international friendly on Nov. 15, 2018 vs. Czech Republic and for a UEFA Nations League A fixture on Nov. 20, 2018 vs. Portugal, going as an unused substitute on both occasions. A former youth international, Buksa has represented Poland at the Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, and Under-21 levels. The striker has registered a combined 30 youth appearances across those four levels, scoring six goals.
Buksa is expected to miss the Revolution's regular season game on Sept. 3 at Philadelphia Union. He has played in every MLS match for the Revolution since joining the club ahead of the 2020 season. Buksa has totaled 14 goals in 43 regular season appearances with three assists, in addition to one goal in four MLS Cup Playoff appearances. In 2021, Buksa ranks second on the team with eight goals and two assists across 20 games played for the Supporters' Shield-leading Revolution.
The first-place Revolution return to action at home this Wednesday, August 18 vs. D.C. United. The match kicks off at 7:00 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium and airs locally on WSBK-TV38, myRITV, 98.5 The Sports Hub, and 1260 AM Nossa Radio.
