ALEXANDRIA- Shreveport native Brandon Spencer's double over the head of centerfielder Tim Maitland brought Chad Bunting home from second base in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Alexandria Aces a 6-5 victory against the Edinburg Roadrunners.
Spencer's hit came off reliever Damian Seguin (2-1) and gave the victory to Michael Calderon (2-0), capping off a comeback from an early 4-0 deficit to Edinburg (19-22).
The Aces (22-19) are now in a tie with San Angelo for second place in the United League and play the second game of their four game series with Edinburg Friday night at 7:05 p.m. Lefty Daniel Schmidt (3-1) pitches for Alexandria against Austin Fraker (1-0).
