Aces Sign Former UAA Defenseman Chase Van Allen

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Alaska Aces have signed former University of Alaska-Anchorage defenseman Chase Van Allen to a contract.

Aces Head Coach and President of Hockey Operations Rob Murray made the announcement Saturday.

Van Allen joins the Aces on their road trip, and will be in the lineup tonight at Utah. He will wear #2.

Van Allen, 24, has skated the past four seasons with UAA of the WCHA, scoring 8 goals with 36 assists for 44 points and 91 penalty minutes.

The 5-10, 180 pounder is a native of Anchorage and played high school hockey at Service HS. He also skated two seasons for the Alaska Avalanche of the NAHL.

The Aces return home for a three-game series with the Cincinnati Cyclones March 15, 17 and 18, followed by three games with Rapid City.
