Aces Play at Los Angeles for Final Game Before All-Star Break

LOS ANGELES - The Las Vegas Aces (18-2) are in Los Angeles, where they will take on the Sparks (7-12) at 7 pm PT on July 12 at Crypto.com Arena for their final game ahead of the mid-season All-Star break. The game will be broadcast on Silver State Sports & Entertainment Network and CBS Sports Network.

The Aces enter the game owning a 12-game winning streak over the Sparks, which is the longest active such streak in the W. Wednesday's game marks the 3rd of 4 games between the two clubs this season, and the final Aces versus Sparks contest is scheduled for Aug. 19 in Las Vegas.

On May 25 the Aces defeated the Sparks 93-65 in LA, then earned a 94-73 victory at home on May 27 on a night in which the Aces received their 2022 WNBA Championship rings in front of the season's first sellout crowd at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

Jackie Young averaged 23.0 ppg and A'ja Wilson 21.0 ppg and 9.5 rpg over those two contests. Kelsey Plum added 14.0 ppg and 5.0 apg and Chelsea Gray tallied 12.0 ppg and 7.5 apg.

The Sparks had six players miss at least one of the games due to non-COVID illness, including Chiney Ogwumike (19 points) and Nneka Ogwumike (16), who played in the first and second games, respectively.

The high-scoring Aces, who are leading the league in scoring (93.9 ppg) and blocked shots (5.5 bpg) and rank second for assists (22.5 apg), feature 4 All-Stars scoring 14.8 or more points a game. A'ja Wilson, this year's leading All-Star vote-getter, is averaging 19.5 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 2.2 apg and 2.2 bpg.; Jackie Young is pouring in a career-high 19.4 ppg, along with 3.8 apg; Kelsey Plum adds 18.9 ppg and 4.1 apg; and Chelsea Gray rounds out the group with 14.8 ppg and 6.6 apg.

The Aces are leading the league in offensive (114.7) and defensive efficiency (95.8) as well as field goal percentage (.503) and 3-point percentage (.384).

The Sparks, who are on a 5-game losing streak and have posted a 2-8 record over their past 10 games, are scoring 78.5 ppg, and being led by 2023 All-Star Nneka Ogwumike's 19.8 ppg and 9.5 rpg. Lexie Brown is contributing 13.3 ppg and shooting 42% (21-50 3pt FGs) from beyond the arc, and Jordin Canada adds 13.2 ppg and 5.6 apg.
