Alexandria Aces News Release

The Alexandria Aces are expanding their popular Bonus Book program for the 2003 season. Purchasing a Bonus Book allows a family of five to get into the ballpark for only $15.

Bonus Books contain five coupons good for a general admission ticket to any regular-season home game. The coupons can be used all at once or strung out for five different games.

The Bonus Book Plus, new for the 2003 season, allows a family of five to attend the game and have dinner for $30. A Bonus Book Plus contains coupons good for five general admission tickets, five hot dogs and five soft drinks.

The Aces are seeking host families for team members during the 2003 season. Players will arrive from around the United States in late April for training camp and the Aces would like to provide the players as many housing options as possible.

Aces players need housing from May through August, but will return to their permanent residence once the season is finished. Area families have the chance to adopt a player, providing housing and support throughout the season.

Persons interested in participating in the host family program or purchasing Bonus Books should contact the Aces office at (318) 473-2237.

The Central Baseball League, preparing for its 10th season of independent baseball, will play a 96-game schedule between May and August 2003.

The 10-member league has teams located in Amarillo, Edinburg, Rio Grande Valley (Harlingen), San Angelo, Robstown and Ft. Worth, Texas; Alexandria and Shreveport, La.; Springfield/Ozark, Mo.; and Jackson, Miss.
