Asheville Aces News Release
[ASHEVILLE, NC] - The Asheville Aces are proud to announce that fans can honor the memory of Assistant General Manager, David Dore, by donating to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, an Austin-Texas based organization dedicated to helping people with cancer live strong.
Assistant Coach, Christian Stein had this to say on the partnership. "We want to provide our fans with a way to remember David and, at the same time, help fight the disease that he battled so hard to beat. Because of its strong link to sport and its prominence worldwide, there is no question in our mind that the Lance Armstrong Foundation is the perfect match."
The Aces players and staff will wear the trademark yellow LIVESTRONG(TM) wristbands for the remainder of this season to show their support, not only for David, but also for cancer research. LIVESTRONG wristbands are available at www.laf.org.
To make a donation on David's behalf, follow these simple instructions: Go to www.laf.org, click on "Donate", then click on "Memorials and Honorariums." If you would like to mail in your donation, follow the instructions provided. If you would like to donate online, you can click on "To make a memorial or honorary gift on-line click here", then under Tribute, select "Memorial Gift". Fill in "Mr. David Dore" under "Gift In Memory Of" then follow the remainder of the instructions to complete your donation. A letter of recognition will automatically be sent to the Aces office.
