Weekend Recap
The Wings were able to come from behind both Friday and Saturday night to sweep the Coulee Region Chill out of Aberdeen. Friday night the Wings went down by 2 early in the contest but then exploded for 4 first period goals of their own coming from Justin Parizek, Dylan Dailey, Tyler Cisar & another from Parizek. Assisting on the first period goals were Peter Krieger (2) Steven Johnson, Sam Coborn, Jon Grebosky, Zach Kraft, & Liam McGing. Coulee Netted the only goal of the 2nd period but the Wings once again were able to respond getting 2 early 3rd period goals from Jake Horton with the assists going to Parizek and Jordan Heller & J.D. Cotroneo, Kyle Haak assisting on the final Wings goal. The Chill made things interesting down the stretch but the Wings were able to hold off Coulee for a 6-5 win. Chad Catt was in goal for the Wings and made 30 saves on 35 shots. Saturday was more of a defensive back and forth battle. This time the Wings were able to strike first getting a goal from Tanner Holmquist with the assist going to Niklas Mayrhauser. Coulee bounced back and were able to take a 2-1 lead into the 3rd period. That's where Peter Krieger took control. Under three minutes into the 3rd period Peter was able to tie the game with the assist going to Carl Witty. Coulee then responded to take the lead once again but Krieger was able to respond with another goal this time the assists went to Justin Parizek and Jordan Heller. Justin Parizek added the eventual game winner with assists going to Heller and Krieger and just to be safe Krieger added goal #3 on the night to close out the game with the Hat Trick. Horton got the assists on Krieger's final empty net goal. For his effort on the weekend Peter Krieger was named NAHL Central Division Star of the Week! Justin Parizek was named Honorable Mention!
