The Jr. Blues could not solve Michigan's goaltender this past weekend as the Jr. Blues outshot Michigan 83-53 and lost both games. The Jr. Blues look to change their scoring woes as they travel to Kalamazoo this weekend.
Jr. Blues Fall 4-2
Jr. Blues fire 50 shots, only score twice
The Jr. Blues were unable to gain the upper hand on the Warriors as they jumped out to a first period 1-0 lead.
Parker Johnson evened the game at 1, 20 seconds into the second period, picking up a rebound shot and scoring. The Warriors scored the next two goals to make it 3-1. Jeff McFarland would cut the lead to 3-2 in the third period on a nice net drive and shot.
The Warriors would add another goal with 7 minutes left and that's how the game would end, 4-2.
The Jr. Blues outshot the Warriors, 51-37. Matt Leon made 33 saves in net for the Jr. Blues.

Jr. Blues out shoot Warriors 32-16
On a night when the Jr. Blues doubled their opponents shot total, they were unable to beat the Michigan goaltender and lost by a score of 3-0.
The Jr. Blues had a handful of opportunites in each period but could not score.
Michigan scored a goal late in the first period off a Jr. Blues players skate to make it 1-0. The Jr. Blues thought they had a goal of their own about 5 minutes prior to the Warriors scoring but the goal was waved off due to the net being knocked off it's pegs.
The Warriors added 2 more in the second, despite being outshot 17-5 in the frame. Michigan would go on to win 3-0.
Ryan Kellenberger made 13 saves in the loss.
Jr. Blues Travel to Kalamazoo
Jr. Blues face Jr. K-Wings Sat and Sun
The Jr. Blues travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan this weekend to play the Jr. K-Wings Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm EST.
The Jr. K-Wings are 7-1 in their last 8 games and are gearing up for a long playoff run. The Jr. Blues are 0-4 against the K-Wings this season. Losing 3 of the 4 games by 1 goal.
Jr. Blues Honor Army
Wear Special US Army Jerseys
This past weekend the Jr. Blues honored the US Army by wearing special US Army camouflage jerseys.
The game worn jerseys were auctioned off during the intermissions of both games as part of a live auction.
The Jr. Blues organization would like to thank all the men and women of the US Army for their services to our country.
