Weekend Recap
Your Aberdeen Wings earned a split this past week vs the Coulee Region Chill losing Friday night 5-2 and rebounding to win Saturday night 2-1. Friday the Wings were the victims of quick goal scoring bursts from the Chill who twice scored 2 goals within a minute. Aberdeen was unable to respond to get back into the game. Collecting points for the Wings were Steven Johnson (1G), Peter Krieger (1G), Jordan Heller (1A), Patrick Steinhauser (1A) and Jake Horton (1A). Sharing time in goal were Marcus Zelzer and Paige Skoog. They combined to face 44 shots making 39 saves. Saturday night was a defensive battle that the Wings were able to come out on top of with a 2-1 victory. Scoring in the first period for the Aberdeen was Tanner Holmquist with the assists going to Peter Krieger and Justin Parizek. Going into the 3rd the game was tied at 1 when Steven Johnson put the Wings back on top for good at the 4:18 mark with assists going to the newest Wing Jonathan Grebosky and Patrick Steinhauser.

The Pete Sauer Coach's Show will be this Monday and every Monday throughout the season live from Max & Erma's. Player guests this week will be Paige Skoog and Colton Kramer. Sign up for Winger's Kids Club at home games throughout the season! Open to all kids ages 3-12. For $40 they get into 10 home games, a free Wingers Kids Club T-Shirt, 5 visits to the sundae bar at Max & Erma's and 2 Monday parties during the coaches show. The Wings will also be participating in floor hockey this Tuesday evening at the YMCA. A special Thanksgiving package is available for home games next Thursday and Friday, you can buy the 2 game package for just $15! Friday the 23rd bring along your skates and skate with the Wings after the game!
Upcoming Games
This Friday the Wings 6-11-0 travel up North to face the Bismarck Bobcats 8-9-1 for the first time this season. The Wings will look to take an early lead in the Dakota Cup, which is a border battle the Wings and Bobcats have played for since the Wings entered the NAHL 3 seasons ago. Alumni News
Former Aberdeen Wing Taylor Richart has helped Miami University to a 6-2 record early to start the season. Taylor has played in all 8 games for the Redhawks and currently has a +2 +/-. Cory Ward scored his 2nd goal of the season for the Bemidji State Beavers as they took on Colorado College. Cory has now played in 6 games for the Beavers and has 2 goals and 1 assist on the season as Bemidji has a 2-3-1 overall record.
