CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi IceRays have signed Chris Stovall, a Grapevine, Texas born forward to their first tender of the 2012-2013 season.

Stovall played three games earlier in the year with the IceRays, recording a goal at the 2012 NAHL Showcase.

"We were fortunate to get Chris here early in the season to gain a little Junior experience," said head coach Justin Quenneville. "Chris skated with us last week in practice while we were in Dallas and he looked stronger."

Currently, Stovall is skating for the Alliance Bulldogs U18 and has played in five games so far.

"We will try to potentially get him in a few games this season as well," Quenneville added. "He is a talented young winger with a very good shot and we look forward in continuing to track his progress with the Alliance this season."

Corpus Christi is allowed seven tenders from any league, along with two from the NAPHL and one from the NA3HL.

The IceRays return home this weekend as they take on the Fairbanks IceDogs. Puck drops at 7:05PM, coverage begins at 6:50PM with the IceRays Pregame Show on sportsjuice.com, the TuneIn Radio APP, and fasthockey.com.
