Weekend Recap
Your Aberdeen Wings came away with a weekend home and home sweep of the Minot Minotauros. Friday night the Wings traveled up to Minot and skated away with a 6-3 victory. Caleb O'Brien was not only able to score his first goal of the season but also added his second 6 minutes later (2G, +1). Also contributing goals in Friday nights contest were; Jordan Heller: (1G, 1A, +2) Kyle Haak: (1G, +1) Mike Parnell: (1G, +2) Zach Kraft: (1G, 1A, +2. The Wings continued their dominance over Minot Saturday night at the Odde Ice Center in front of over 1300 fans, with a 5-4 win. A late surge by the Minotauros made things interesting but Aberdeen was able to hold on for another 2 points behind the goaltending of Marcus Zelzer who made 31 saves on 35 shots. Scoring for the Wings Saturday were; Justin Parizek: (1G, 1A, +1) Tanner Holmquist: (2G, +1) Peter Krieger: (1G, +1) & Kyle Kruenegel (1G, +2).
