Weekend Recap
Your Aberdeen Wings fell to the Austin Bruins this past weekend. 5-3 Friday & 6-3 Saturday. Friday night Marcus Zelzer was in goal for the Wings and was able to keep things close making 40 saves on 45 shots. The Wings jumped out early on the Bruins but were unable to hold the lead down the stretch. Getting points for the Wings were Joseph Sullivan (1G, 1A), Peter Krieger (1G, 1A) Mike Parnell (1G) & Steven Johnson (1A). Saturday night was a different story as the Wings trailed early and were never able to make a come back. Paige Skoog got the start in goal and was able to make 18 saves on 24 shots. Contributing points for the Wings were Heinz Koster (2G), Jordan Heller (1G), Tyler Cisar (1A), Michael Prochno (1A) Zach Kraft (1A), Peter Krieger (1A) & Kyle Haak (1A).

The Wings 2-6-0 hit the road again this Friday traveling to Minot, ND to take on the Minotauros 1-6-1, this will be the first game in a home and home weekend for both teams. The Wings will be back on the bus after Friday nights game heading home to prepare for Minot again Saturday at the Odde Ice Center. Pre-game tickets are on sale now at the Wolf Stop and all 3 C-Express locations. Doors open Saturday night at 5:30 and the puck drops at 7:15!
