What You Need To Know About The Toronto Marlies...

- Matt Frattin continued to produce against Abbotsford in game one of the Western Conference Semi-Final, picking up the lone Marlies goal. Frattin now has five goals in four games against the Heat this season.

- Joe Colborne's assist in game one against Abbotsford gives him six points in five games against the Heat this season. Colborne ranks eighth (tied) in AHL playoff assists (4).

- Jerry D'Amigo ranks eighth (tied) in AHL playoff points (6) and first in AHL playoff goals (5). D'Amigo also ranks first (tied) in AHL playoff game-winning-goals (2) and second (tied) in AHL playoff plus/minus (+6).

- Mike Zigomanis ranks second (tied) in AHL post-season powerplay goals (2).

LAST WEEK: After sweeping Rochester in Round One of the Calder Cup Playoffs, the Marlies fell to the Abbotsford Heat 3-1 in the opening game of their Western Conference Semi-Final series. Abbotsford held the balance of play through 20 minutes, leading 1-0 after the first period on a goal by Max Reinhart. The Heat outshot the Marlies 12-5 in the first frame. Toronto started to apply pressure in the latter half of the game, outshooting the Heat 27- 17 over the final two periods.

Chris Breen's first goal since December 29 proved to be the game-winning-goal, 8:17 into the second period. Matt Frattin's second goal of the post-season was the lone tally for the Marlies. Ben Scrivens stopped 26 of 28 shots in the loss. Danny Taylor turned away 31 of 32 shots to pick up the victory for Abbotsford. Toronto will look to even up the series on Thursday night at Ricoh Coliseum. Puck drop is set for 7:00 P.M.

SECOND ROUND OPPONENT

The Abbotsford Heat swept their best-of-five first round series with the Milwaukee Admirals.

They outscored the Admirals 14-6 in the three games. The Heat are led by Krys Kolanos who ranks first (tied) in AHL playoff points (9).

Abbotsford's post-season powerplay ranks third (tied) in the AHL with a success rate of 23.8%.

Their post-season penalty killing unit ranks seventh (tied) in the AHL with a success rate of 83.3%. Goaltender Danny Taylor is currently third in the AHL in goals against average (1.75) and third in save percentage (0.938).

Abbotsford and Toronto met four times during the regular season, with each team remaining undefeated on home ice. The Marlies outscored the Heat 14-10 in the four regular season meetings, outshooting them 108- 90 over that span. Toronto went 6- for-21 on the powerplay and killed off 14 of 16 Abbotsford powerplays.
