ABA RazorSharks Defeat Buffalo 109-90 Saturday Afternoon

(Rochester, NY)...The Rochester RazorSharks won their 22nd consecutive game on home court at The Blue Cross Arena as they defeated the Buffalo Silverbacks 109-90 in a Saturday afternoon matinee. Center Mike Mackell scored 19 of his team leading 21 points in the second half as Rochester increased their record to 7-2. Keith Friel added 15 points and forward Jamal Nichols had 11 points and 8 rebounds for the RazorSharks as six players scored in double figures. Rochester native Marlin Johnson had 18 points to lead Buffalo.

The CBA Rochester Zeniths won 23 straight games at the Dome Arena in 1978-79. The NBA Royals won 23 straight games from Nov. 1, 1949, through Feb. 7, 1950. The RazorSharks have won 22 straight home games dating back to December 10, 2005 and they are 25-2 all-time at home in their two seasons of play in the ABA.

The RazorSharks hit the road for their next three games, including at Vermont on December 14 and at Quebec City on December 16. Next home game for Rochester is Saturday, December 23 at 7:05 p.m. in The Blue Cross Arena, where they will attempt to tie Rochester's all-time professional basketball home win streak.
