ABA names two ABA All-Stars
January 26, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today named the sixth players for the East and West All-Star teams for the ABA All-Star game to be played at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on Saturday, February 11. According to Ricardo Richardson, ABA CEO, "The response we've had to naming the All-Stars two at a time has had a terrific effect and it has created a lot of additional interest in the game. The support that many of our teams have is really amazing as fans are lobbying hard for their favorites. I really wish we could name more players to the teams."
East: Tim Winn, a 5'10" guard from the Buffalo Rapids.
West: Lamar Gayle, a 6'6" guard from the Orange County Buzz.
"We are very honored to have Tim chosen," said Todd Wier, the new owner of the Buffalo Rapids. "This has been a difficult season, but our team has stuck together, played hard and has been competitive. To have the Buffalo Rapids represented on the All-Star team is a testimony to our whole squad and we are honored and proud."
